I am pleased to announce that our work titled "Performance evaluation of small pixel sized Gd₂O₂S and CsI CMOS X-ray detectors" has been accepted as a poster presentation at the SPIE Medical Imaging - Physics of Medical Imaging 2025 conference!
We conducted this project as part of Bilkent University's industry-focused senior design course, in collaboration with XERA MEDICAL SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY LTD., together with my esteemed teammates Ahmet Arif Aslan and Kaan Büyükdemirci.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our mentor Denny Lee and our project manager Ahmet Camlica for their dedicated contributions and invaluable guidance throughout the project. We also thank Tayfun AKIN and Mikro-Tasarim for their significant support in the development of the chips used in the project.
In our study, we aimed to experimentally demonstrate that CMOS X-ray detectors offer superior performance compared to TFT X-ray detectors, based on MTF, NNPS, and DQE parameters.
This conference represents a wonderful opportunity to exchange knowledge with expert researchers and industry professionals in the field of medical imaging, and to present our work on an international platform. I am truly grateful to all my teammates and mentors for their support.
Looking forward to seeing you at SPIE 2025!
